Humanity Primary/Junior High School, located in Yilan County, is one of the first public-private partnership charter schools to operate under this unique model. Under the leadership of Professor Yang Wengui since 2003, the school has been implementing and promoting the Nature Nurturing (ZhanFu) Education philosophy, by replacing traditional curricula with developmental goals-based/development-based learning.
The key to this educational philosophy is "human," including parents, faculty, and especially each of our students. Therefore, in addition to external academic achievements, Humanity Primary/Junior High School places greater emphasis on internal perception and development, including emotions, interpersonal interactions, communication, and more. At Humanity Primary/Junior High School, we provide a friendly learning environment and challenging curriculum, allowing students to learn with peace of mind and grow happily. They develop confidence and ease in exploring and developing their talents. We design courses that meet their needs from the perspective of children, practical and close to life. Starting from the diverse corner courses in first grade, students have the opportunity to choose for themselves and try to find a suitable field and learning mode in an open learning environment. Additionally, the school does not evaluate children's achievements through exams or tests but continuously provides experiential learning and dialogue feedback. This allows children to constantly try, fail, and surpass themselves in the process. Hiking, swimming, baking, and surfing, etc. are all part of the daily life of Humanity Primary/Junior High School students, and also part of learning.

Regarding the Humanity School Excursion

On the morning of July 25th, we cordially invite you to visit the campus of Humanity Primary/Junior High School for a unique sensory journey. During this excursion, you will see a school without walls, without bell sounds, classrooms without partitions and textbooks. You will witness a group of junior high students presenting physical exhibitions and explanations based on their individual strengths after experiential learning. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to experience traditional culture in Toucheng - the Child Dragon Dance, as well as local cuisine.

Though the time is brief, we hope that besides acquainting you with a different kind of school - Humanity Primary/Junior High School, you will also experience the independent and autonomous nature of our students. Most importantly, we aim to provide you with diverse life experiences and a rich cultural feast, so that you can return from this journey feeling enriched in both body and mind.
